Help & FAQ
Everything you need to know about finding a great place to do work, or becoming a host.
About WorkSpot
WorkSpot turns any good spot — a café, a hotel lobby, a restaurant's quiet hours — into a place to work from. It's a two-sided marketplace: hosts list spaces with the details guests/expats actually care about (wifi, power, noise, capacity, perks), and guests/expats search a map, filter by what they need, and reserve a spot.
Frequently asked questions
WorkSpot is a marketplace for work-friendly places. Hosts list cafés, hotel lobbies, and restaurants with the details that matter for getting work done — fast wifi, power, noise level, seating and perks — and you search, filter, and reserve a spot that fits how you work.
Yes. Browsing and reserving on WorkSpot is free — we take no payment and charge no booking fee. Some venues set their own rate (hourly or daily) or a minimum spend; you pay that directly at the venue, never through WorkSpot.
Anyone can browse and search without an account. To reserve a spot, leave a review, or list your own space, you'll need a WorkSpot account — signing up takes less than a minute.
Open a spot you like, choose a day, and hit Reserve. Your reservation is confirmed instantly and free — just show up on the day. You can hold one reservation per spot per day.
Some spots are free to work from as long as you spend a minimum at the venue — for example, buying a coffee or a meal. The listing and the map marker show this up front so there are no surprises.
Yes. You can cancel your own reservation any time up until the reserved day has passed. Cancelling frees the spot for someone else, so please do cancel if your plans change.
Hosts report each spot's wifi speed, whether power outlets are available, and the typical noise level. The filters on the search page let you narrow to, say, fast wifi and a quiet room, so you find somewhere that actually fits your work.
Create an account, open your host dashboard, and add your venue and spot with photos, work details, and your rate (hourly, daily, or free with a minimum spend). Publish when you're ready.
WorkSpot was built with Abuja and Lagos in mind but is location-agnostic — search by city or area to see what is available near you. As more hosts join, more places appear.
Reviews are verified: once you've reserved and worked from a spot, you can rate it and leave a comment to help other guests know what to expect.
Yes. Workspot only keep what is needed to run your account and reservations.
